Melissa joined the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM) in 2024 as a Project Engineer for America Makes and is now serving in this same role for the Youngstown Innovation Hub for Aerospace and Defense. Managed by NCDMM in partnership with America Makes, the Hub drives economic growth across Northeast Ohio and the state. In her role, she works to further initiatives that advance the additive manufacturing workforce through education, engagement, and awareness.

With a strong professional background in business and economic development across healthcare, manufacturing, and compliance, she is adept at driving growth and innovation to meet industry goals and objectives.

Previously, as the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber’s workforce development director, Melissa successfully managed two initiatives addressing workforce gaps through strategic partnerships with local leaders and educational institutions. She also spearheaded efforts to launch the Regional Workforce Coalition and provided valuable strategic counsel, critical analysis, and personalized customer service to chamber members.

Melissa holds a bachelor’s in Environmental Science from Muskingum University and is a board member at OH WOW! Science Center in Youngstown, OH.
