
Megan joined the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM) in October 2025 as Director of the Youngstown Innovation Hub for Aerospace & Defense. Managed by NCDMM in partnership with America Makes, the Hub drives economic growth across Northeast Ohio and the state.
Previously, Megan was the Director of the Medical Modeling, Materials and Manufacturing (M4) Division at the Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence (CDME) at The Ohio State University, where she led an interdisciplinary team of engineers and clinicians on new product development and served the unique needs of patients, utilizing a variety of advanced manufacturing technologies.
Megan also served on the Public & Government Affairs Committee for The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS) in 2021 and 2022. She continues to support the materials community through Material Advantage’s Congressional Visit Days, helping to train over 200 students in scientific communication with their elected officials. Additionally, she is an advisor on the Healthcare Additive Manufacturing Technology Community through the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).
Megan earned her Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from The Ohio State University. Following her doctoral work, she spent a year as a Legislative Fellow in the U.S. Congress, addressing public health, healthcare financing, and STEM education policy as a part of the AAAS Congressional Science & Technology Policy Fellowship.
