The Vindicator 2 building is being designed for the future of manufacturing
As demand for existing incubation and acceleration space for advanced and additive manufacturing businesses grows, the buildings that effectively comprise YBI’s technology campus in Youngstown lack functional space for scaling manufacturing businesses that require heavy and large equipment. The lack of manufacturing-ready facilities has resulted in the loss of new companies within the local ecosystem, with more at risk of relocating.
Without additional space to accommodate large machines, growing existing companies, fostering the development of new companies, and attracting early-stage advanced manufacturing companies to the region will not be possible. Ultimately, critical core functions and processes will suffer, including intellectual property generation, commercialization efforts, and scaling the industry workforce.
The Vindicator 2 site will complement YBI’s technology campus
Once renovated, this five-story, 110,000 sq. ft. concrete-framed structure will feature flexible use for offices, workspaces, and display areas. The building will be equipped with robust power capacity to support multiple high-demand tenants and strong security, with limited access points and naturally separated bays to meet criteria for U.S. Department of Defense contracts.
